Beverley Trotman - Released on the 'Integrity-Europe label, Beverley's debut
album, 'Voice of Hope', is a blend of worship and gospel praise, plotting her
course of faith, through all of life's challenges. Beverley lives out this
message wholeheartedly; "this is who I am! Contemporary praise and worship is
what I would call it; typified by one of my co-written songs 'My Life'
(cowritten with Ian Green) which is simple, and honest relating to God and my
family; while Mark Beswick has written me a beautiful tune 'Your love completes
me'; however, there are also covers such as 'Voice of Hope' and Stevie Wonders
'Heaven Help Us All'; that tune forces you to stop and think about where we are
as a society and what's happening right now in our world"
REMIXED! - Beverley's successful reflective original album 'Voice of
Hope' now has a new feel, 'Voice Of hope - The Special Remix Edition'; along
with the original album, an eclectic mix of styles have been added to
compliment the original songs providing a sound for everyone; From neo Soul to
drum'n'bass, simple praise/worship hymns, piano-jazz and UK house/garage;
enabling Beverley to perform these tunes everywhere, from BBC1's Songs Of
Praise, to Funky Urban Gospel Festivals!! Beverley has begun work on her next
album project; due out June 2011.
The voice of Ni-Cola is undeniably a blend of a strong alto
sound, with R'n'B, Gospel and Soul in the mix to create the sound of Ni-Cola.
Her heart is heard throughout her music, that tells her story of love,
compassion, trial verses victory, in a 21st century Mancunian way. She
incorporates catchy hooks in her song writing that deliver songs that you just
can't get out of your head "the singer laughs".
|'The Great I Am' is Madeleine Kerzner's second album. She previously
released 'Nation 2 Nation Volume 1' in 2002. The album starts off with 'Raise The Standard Of His
Kingdom'. We were surprised by this song. We don't really know much of
Madeleine's music so we didn't know what to expect. This song took us back to
the 80's from the music production to the vocals and it took us a while to get
a feel for where she was coming from. 'Unity' is a reggae song featuring one of our favourite
rapper's, Jahaziel. From the out-set it gets your head nodding and like all
good reggae songs, makes you feel good. Half-way through, the song switches up
to a Jewish vibe that really surprised us. It was something different and it
really worked well and it let us know more about who Madeleine is as an artist.
'The Great I Am' is the title track for the album so we were
expecting a lot from it. The song started off with Madeleine singing over soft
music which gave us a chance to hear her voice more. She has a very strong
voice, the kind that you'd hear on classic rock albums.|
